Interpolation in the historical structure of the Belveder metropolitan area in Rijeka. The Residential-Commercial Building T is the result of design research by analyzing typologies, scales and textures of the existing urban tissue.
Residential office building on the site of the former RIO clothing industry. The concept includes two underground floors of garages, offices on the ground floor and apartments arranged in three residential towers. This project is the result of exploring the possibility of a new interpretation of the motif of the Rijeka residential skyscraper, the dominant spatial element in the areas of accelerated urban expansion in the post-war period.
We designed the project in collaboration with the Rubing Architectural Office.
With this project, we reconstructed the existing low-rise building to accommodate the offices of the JGL Regional Center. Simple and economical facade restoration solution – machine and manual cutting of standard facade panels allowed us to create a compact city volume. In the interior, the challenge was to bring enough natural light into the depths of the space. The solution was to design the hallway as a transparent space.
