Centre for Social Welfare
The purpose of the preliminary architectural design of the Sun House Makarska building (Centre for Social Welfare) in the given location is to find the optimal architectural and landscape concept that will be acceptable for the environment, the local community and future users – children with disabilities and people with disabilities, as well as employees organized around various social activities. This solution proposes a new hybrid method that varies floor-to-floor typology – the ground floor optimizes the shape of the building to maximize compliance with the topography and construction program, thus creating a neutral base/pedestal for the construction of residential floors. These facilities are housed in an assembly that gives a clear, stance and design element to the appreciation of the value of traditional construction – smaller scale, intimate environments, simple shapes.
